The air that enters your vehicle flows through the cabin air filter. The filter catches sand and other debris protecting your vehicle and helping it last longer. The cabin air filter should be replaced between 5000 and 10,000 kms, depending on driving conditions. If you drive on unpaved roads especially here in Australia, it needs to be changed more often. If you don’t drive a lot, an air filter should be replaced at least every year, as with age it becomes brittle.
